Rangers place C Saltalamacchia on DL (AP)
The Texas Rangers placed catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with recurring numbness in his right hand. Saltalamacchia left Friday night's game against the Boston Red Sox in the fourth inning with the hand problem and was replaced by Taylor Teagarden, who becomes the everyday catcher until Saltalamacchia returns.
