Kuroda gets only 4 outs in playoff debut (AP)
Hiroki Kuroda's first start of the postseason for Los Angeles was a bitterly brief one. Two singles, a double, a triple, a home run. Philadelphia hit for the team cycle only eight batters into Game 3 of the NL championships series, battering Kuroda on Sunday night and sending him to the dugout after only recording [...]

Phillies RHP Blanton ready to hit (AP)
Joe Blanton might always be remembered in Philadelphia's postseason history for his bat instead of his arm. The pudgy right-hander will start Game 4 of the NL championship series, his first one of the playoffs after being shuttled to the bullpen for the opening round. Sloppy Angels extend ALCS skid to 6 (AP)
Everything is going wrong for the Los Angeles Angels. When Chone Figgins finally gets a hit, Brian Fuentes can't put the New York Yankees away. Erick Aybar is still playing defense as if the ball was toxic. Maicer Izturis threw it away at the end as if it was a bar of soap. Now the [...]
