Originating from the name of the twin cities are of Minneapolis and St. Paul , Minnesota Twins is a Central Division member of MLB’s American League. The team currently plays at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The club was founded in 1901 in Washington DC and was called Washington Senators which changed when they moved to Minneapolis in 1961.
After starting somewhat in a shaky manner, they improved themselves steadily and went on to win the World Series Title in 1924. They repeated this achievement again in 1987 and ’91. Other than these they have also got four West Division titles (’69, ’70, ’87, ’91) and four Central Division titles (2002, ’03, ’04, ’06). They recorded their best regular season performance in 1965 finishing 102-60.
