Toronto Blue Jays Blog
A member of the Eastern Division of MLB’s American League, the Toronto Blue Jays derives its name from the name of the bird that serves as their mascot. The club was established in 1977 and had its venue at the Exhibition Stadium from where it shifted its base in ’89 to the Skydome which was rechristened as Rogers Centre in 2004. The team has a uniform of white, blue, silver, graphite and black.
After a somewhat shaky start, they first came into limelight in 1982 finishing sixth in east. Three years later they won the first of their five East Division titles. From there on, they maintained an impressive record reaching the highest point in ’92 and ’93 when they won the World Series becoming the only non US team to do so. Henceforth they’ve got more or less of a decent statistics in their favor in the recent seasons.
