A member of the Western Division of MLB’s National League and based in California , the Los Angeles Dodgers was founded in 1883 in Brooklyn , New York and were called the Brooklyn Dodgers before shifting their base in 1958. They play at the Dodger Stadium in uniforms of blue, gray and white.
The starting for the Dodgers were associated with a mixed taste of success as they won a few pennants but soon entered into a bleak phase around the 1920s. Their luck started changing around the middle of 1940s and they finally went on to win the World Series Title in 1955. Since then, barring a few sporadic cases, they have more or less maintained an impressive record including a wild card entry in 2006.
